Safari tractors and implements are a set of AI capable agricultural machinery engineered to work efficiently together for the purpose of solving some of the most prominent issues faced by smallholder farmers in Africa.
Some of the key issues that the African farmer faces include lack of access to agricultural machinery and technology for the automation of crop cultivation activities, high post-harvest losses, lack of financing, poor extension services, and severe cases of land fragmentation that makes the mechanization of farming activities impractical from an economic and logistical perspective. To compound these issues, farm labor is also very scarce because most of the youth have migrated to cities and urban areas in search of ‘greener pastures.’
The very few tractors that are available are usually more than 30 years old, and often do not have the right set of implements to provide complete mechanization of farming activities. The outcome is that over 95 percent of farming activities are still performed manually in many parts of Africa thus resulting in low harvest and a perpetual cycle of poverty for the African farmer.
After several years of research and scenario testing, InvoSolv’s engineers and social scientists, have come up with a well-engineered, integrated set of machinery and technology to solve the mechanization problems and mitigate some of the resulting social issues.
